President's Welcome
It gives me great pleasure, as President and CEO of the National U.S.-Arab Chamber of Commerce (NUSACC), to welcome you to our Website. Whether you are a first time visitor or someone who has been visiting us for many years, thank you for giving us the opportunity to be of service.
The Chamber's mission is to "promote, support, and strengthen U.S.-Arab business and economic cooperation." This is a broad mandate, to be sure, but one that befits an organization that serves as a commercial bridge between the United States and the 22 nations of the Arab world. As our Website suggests, NUSACC offers a wide array of value-added services to our members. Our Four Pillars of Service provide Access, Advocacy, Business Facilitation, and Professional Advancement. In any given year, we lead or receive dozens of high level delegations, partner with more than 50 organizations in the United States and the Arab world, co-host events on a weekly basis, provide public platforms for VIPs visiting from the region, go to bat for many of our members, and offer commercial services designed to help NUSACC companies win and retain business. In the words of one Chamber member, "Dollar for dollar, NUSACC is one of the best values for money in the United States." We agree. The Chamber has undergone a host of changes in the nearly fifty years since its inception. Many of these changes have been technological – like this Website – and they have certainly helped to make the world more "flat." But in a region where business leaders place a high premium on personal contact, the internet is no substitute for an opportunity to "press the flesh" and meet prospective partners face-to-face. No one knows this better than NUSACC, which is one of the reasons why so many U.S. companies ask our Chamber to introduce them to the Middle East and North Africa. In the end, it all comes down to partnerships. As they say in the Arab world, "One hand alone cannot clap." With this in mind, I invite you to extend the hand of partnership to NUSACC.
