Document Translation

Strong communications skills play a vital role in conducting business between the United States and the Arab world.  With this in mind, the National U.S.-Arab Chamber of Commerce (NUSACC) offers translation services to its members and, in select cases, to non-member companies.

NUSACC has very close ties to Arab embassies in the United States and to business entities throughout the Arab world.  As such, the Chamber is well positioned to provide translation services for Arabic, English, French, Spanish, etc. Typical documents to be translated include:

  • Promotional Materials – Many decision-makers in the Arab world are not fluent in English, so U.S. companies are typically advised to have their promotional materials – or at least summaries of these materials – translated into Arabic and/or French (for parts of North Africa).
  • Business Documents – Arab world governments, including certain embassies and consulates in the United States, sometimes require that official documents be translated into Arabic.  This could include but not be limited to commercial contracts, certificates of origin, by-laws, billing materials, articles of association, powers of attorney, and memoranda of understanding.
  • Official Documents – For some countries, like Libya, government authorities require that vital passport data be translated into Arabic.  NUSACC is the only chamber of commerce in the United States that is authorized by the Government of Libya to prepare such translations.  Comparable documents might include health and medical records, birth certificates, and academic credentials for university study.

On occasion, NUSACC is asked to provide simultaneous interpreters for certain projects.  With sufficient advance notice, the Chamber can offer this service.

With nearly five decades of experience serving as a liaison between the United States and the Arab world, the National U.S.-Arab Chamber of Commerce is highly qualified and well positioned to support the translation needs of its members.  For more information about this service, including fees for normal and expedited translation, please contact Yasmin Anfoqa, by email at
yanfoqa@nusacc.org, or by phone at (202) 289-5920.
