International Insurance Exchange Inc. (IIE), headed by Sam S. Ghanem, is a consortium of insurance brokers and health care consultants, based in Washington DC. IIE has been serving embassies, businesses, and the international community for nearly four decades.
IIE is dedicated to providing insurance (to include DBA overage) and health care benefits to American expats, NGOs, U.S. Department of Defense contractors, Embassy staff and foreign nationals around the world. IIE has offices in the following countries in the Middle East and North Africa: Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, and the United Arab Emirates (servicing the rest of the Gulf Cooperation Council).
In addition to providing insurance-related services, IIE has a long history of serving sponsors of international patients seeking care and treatment in the USA and Canada. IIE works with Ministry of Health officials and/or sponsors, for example, to implement insurance methodologies that are designed to provide the best possible care at world-class centers of excellence while, at the same time, extending deep discounts to IIE’s clients that are typically offered only to large insurance companies in the United States.
